Summer? Time To Think of Boots

Summer mood, the weather is great – who wants to even think of winter and cold weather? I don’t, BUT…. right now is a good time to take advantage of great discounts being offered on last season’s boots. As many fashion lovers know, there is nothing wrong with a) wearing last season b) getting bargains on designer boots. Here on this blog, I am, of course, talking Spanish brands.

I just recently bought some very pretty quality winter boots from AGARE, a Zaragoza-based company, at great discount prices (see post here).

In this post I’ve gathered a few interesting offers from YOOX.COM, my favourite online designer brand boutique (and my affiliate marketing partner). Boots that do not make it into this post, will be featured in our sidebar kiosks. As usual, if you want to purchase a boot from this post, simply click on the picture. I hope you like my selection!

iconThese boots are by Pura López, available in size 10.5 (which corresponds to US 9.5, trust me, I know, it’s my size). Pura López is a high-end label, their boots are ultra-elegant and excellent in quality. Rarely do they make it to the discount sites, since they are snapped up before by eager fashionistas, but this pair did trickle through. If you want to see more of Pura López, the Spanishoegallery Blog also features it here, here, here, here and here.

iconThese fringed babies are by my all-time favourite firm Castaner. My devotion to Castañer is no secret: see posts here, here, here, here. Even though Castaner is most famous for its high-end fashion espadrilles, their leather boots line is also very strong. All boots (and bags) are made from the highest quality leather (see my bag here). Fringe continues to be very much in vogue and these boots are also comfortable and attractive in their honey-brown suede. Available in size 8.
boots
iconSimilar, also by Castaner: ankle boots in rich honey-colored suede (even though in the description the color is referred to as khaki). Available in size 7. For more info, click on the picture.
boots
iconThese Castaner boots are relatively unusual because of their rugged, partial zipper hard-rock style. In the sturdiness of their construction they remind me of the famous Sendra boots (also Spanish), only without the pointed toes.

iconThese “Chelsea” style ankle boots are also by Castaner.I really like the grey-purple suede. This colour would look very good with a variety of clothes. The tubular heel is 10 cm. Available in size 10.
boots
iconThese lace-ups by Farrutx, a luxury Spanish brand with a long pedigree (it was recently given a new lease on life ), are not only whimsical, comfy, and cute, they are also an INCREDIBLE steal at USD40. Available in size 11 (corresponds to US 9.5 – 10).
boots
iconThese tall boots made out of leather and stretchy fibre material (more leather than fibre), with a sturdy 7 cm heel, are by RAS Shoes. RAS is a luxury brand, usually sold in high-end boutiques around the world. Beside the Made in Spain quality, the high-price point has to do with the extravagant design. These boots are definitely sexy. Watch them: they may go further down in price, as sizes 6-11 are still available. One warning: RAS shoes are not for people with wider feet. Just last Christmas I had to return a pair of mocs, which were absolutely gorgeous, because I couldn’t properly fit into them, even though it was my size.
boots
iconThese tall boots by a company that I’ve been following for a while now: Alma En Pena (The Suffering Soul). Despite the unusual name, there is no suffering involved when it comes to their shoes. The name is just part of their bohemian image. These boots are made from the “alcantara” fabric: a synthetic material that has the feel of velvet, is very breathable and sweat-absorbent. The boots also come in black and are available in sizes 9, 10, 11. If you are into bohemian chic, these are for you. I’m seriously considering them.

Lastly, I’ve always liked rain boots by Gioseppo. They can make you look super chic in the rain! Available at YOOX.COM in a number of sizes, for USD42.

Well, that’s all for now.  Keep your eyes out for these and other great deals, both online and in the brick & mortar stores. Great bargains are to be had!

Cheers,

Ann
