Paloma Barceló Twirly Wedges

Paloma Barceló Summer 2016 collection features gracefully twirling patterns on the signature sky-high wedges. Paloma Barceló really excels at summer collections (see previous Paloma Barceló summer collections here, here, here, here and here).

PBSS16Amelie — The *pièce de résistance* of the collection – “*Amelie*” ultra-curvy abstract pattern wedge with suede ankle-strap upper by **Paloma Barceló** **SS16**.

PBSS16OphelieWhite — The “*Ophelie*” cork platform wedge with lacy flower patterns and suede upper. Gold logo detailing in the back. **Paloma Barceló** **SS16**.

PBSS16OphelieWhite3 — Snow white upper and nude leather inner are accentuated by metallic gold rimmed insoles.

PBSS16LenaBlack — The “*Lena*” wedge with parallel curvy lines pattern and black canvas upper by **Paloma Barceló** **SS16**. The top of the wedge curves away from the insole, leaving it “hanging” in the air.

The psychedelic wedge heel and the “cliff hanger” sole make this sandal both unsettling and mesmerizing.

PBSS16LenaBlack1 — The straps form a interlacing pattern of their own.

PBSS16ClareBluette — The “*Clare Bluette*” two-tone chevron patterned jute wedge mule with a stunning azure or Mediterranean blue suede upper. The small heel is covered with matching suede and finished with a thin layer of rubber. **Paloma Barceló SS16.**

The mule itself is not new (see post here), but the azure color version is. It channels the very essence of the Mediterranean summer. I am completely taken by it.

PBSS16ReneeNude — The “*Renee*” jute wedge sandal with nude woven leather upper. Featuring a double ankle strap. **Paloma Barceló SS16**.

In this wedge the focal point is the stacked architecture of the wide ankle straps with correspondingly large buckles.

PBSS16CamilleRed — The “*Camille*” in deep red features both a chevron wedge pattern and woven soft leather upper. **Paloma Barceló SS16**.

PBSS16SeraphineGold — The “*Seraphine*” string-through multi-strap woven leather sandal in metallic gold. Jute wedge. By **Paloma Barceló SS16**.

The Paloma Barceló SS16 collection is classic Paloma Barceló with a twist and a twirl. Taking inspiration from Gaudi‘s Barcelona (see the fashion video here), the brand designers create more than shoes. They create conversation starters. All the power to those who dare!
