There are always so many shoes that I want to write about that we at the Spanishoegallery Blog decided that we would introduce a new series called “The Shoe of the Week”. It will be about a shoe that is not necessarily on sale, or even currently available to buy in North America, it will about a shoe that made my heart stop for a second this particular week. This happens all the time and I thought that instead of trying to assemble more material that would go with that shoe, I would just feature the shoe itself. As a little treat, a little something to make my own and a reader’s day brighter.
So here is our first Shoe of the Week. It’s by the Madrid-based Defloresyfloreros – a company that specializes in ballet flats, but also makes boots and loafers. I featured some of their ballet flats here. They are high quality, original, flirtatious and gorgeous, each with its own distinct personality.
This model is called Diestro and it is inspired by the crafty and passionate inhabitants of the arid Spanish plains. I’m totally smitten with the richly toned fuchsia suede exterior. It is a real pleasure to look at. The ballerina has a tiny bit of a heel, and a black bow made of braided cross-grain string. The interior is lined with sky-blue color leather. The signature element is the curly Defloresyfloreros logo is embroidered in black on the outer side of the right shoe.
Diestro is currently on sale at 49.90 euros. The company’s online shop delivers worldwide.
So here you go, my first shoe of the week!
