Marina, a very good friend of mine, was going to Mallorca this summer. Well, I said, do I have a job for you! I’m working on this website about Spanish shoes and Palma de Mallorca, the island’s capital, is where the best Spanish shoe making companies from both Mallorca and Menorca have their stores. You have to check them out for me and please take photos! She did not require much convincing. After all, it’s shoes we’re talking about.
So, one nice Mediterranean day (and which are not nice there?), with her family in tow and a map with store locations in her hand, she set out on a day trip to glitzy Palma, with its multitude of upscale stores and streams of tourists from luxury liners descending on the town, ready for the shopping adventure. Her route looked something like this:
Camper store front on Palma’s HM Jaime the III avenue, the town’s most prestigious shopping address. Camper is based in Inca, Mallorca.
Mascaró from Ferreries, Menorca.
Pons Quintana store front on HM Jaime III avenue.
RIA from Menorca, the maker of traditional avarca sandals, is located a short distance from the main shopping street.
